Abstract

|
The endocrine cells in the nonglandular stomach of the Korean native goat have been investigated immunohistochemically using the avidin-biotin method. 5-HT-immunoreactive cells were rarely distributed in the basal portion of the epithelia of the
rumen
and reticulum in 180 days of gestation. Also, these cells being long cytoplasmic process were observed among the epithelia and basal portion of the rumen in 1 day old. Thereafter these cells were not occurred in any parts according to the
developmental
stage. However, chromogranin A-immunoreactive cells were rare and identified in the basal portion of the ruminal epithelia in 1 day old
